A Death in the Family

The Clark and Merriweather clans have traded Thanksgiving duties amongst themselves for years. This year it is Maybelle Clark-Merriweather's turn to delight her family and in-laws with a scrumptious feast comprised of all the usual seasonal delights, as well as some nice dishes for that part of the Clark side who've fallen off the proverbial cliff into the depths of vegetarianism.Seems, though, as the dynamic of family usually goes, there is more than a wee bit of acidulous guile existing on both sides of the lovely clans to the extent that this Thanksgiving just might prove more interesting than Alice's traipse through Wonderland.A holiday short story too criminal to miss!
